what is a 4×5 film holder?
It is a device to hold a 4×5 inch piece of sheet film. These are used to hold the film in a 4×5 camera. 2 pieces go in each: one on one side second on the other. Before film came in flexible plastic rolls, sheets of glass were coated with photosensitive emulsion. Now those same type of cameras use 4×5 sheets of film.
